Example
Collect a defined total with separate slots by age group.
Step by step
- Prepare the question. In the builder, add a Screener or Multiple choice set to single answer. Enter Age group and non-overlapping options such as 18–29 and 30–44. Check the option names: you will select them when configuring quotas. Non-overlapping groups.
- Set total. Open Share, expand Quotas and fill in Total completed responses. For an example with 20 people per group, enter 40 total. This field controls the study; it does not buy credits or change the plan limit. Sample target.
- Allocate by option. Under Per-option quotas, choose Block, Option and Slots. Select Age group, 18–29 and 20; click Add. Repeat for the other group and click Save quotas. Check the saved confirmation before leaving. Question · Option · Limit.
- Check slots. After receiving real responses, open Results and find Quotas. Compare counters with saved limits and review outcomes in People. Starts and completions need not match; when no slot remains, the person sees quota full or returns to the panel. Reservations and completions are different counts.

Cautions and limitations
- A study quota differs from the plan response limit and recruitment credits.
- Per-option quotas are not crossed quotas across several questions.
